The BrowserSQL5 Version 1 is available for free download under CC-BY-NC-3.0-NoDerivs-unported . This version allows connection to versions 5 and 8 of MySQL Community Server.

It introduces various improvements regarding the graphical interface as well as query handling. It has been developed using Oracle's JDK 8 on Linux Mint LMD5.

The BrowserSQL4 Version 2 is available for free download under CC-BY-NC-3.0-NoDerivs-unported license. That because this version changes the software architecture with layered class diagram. Something similar to what can be seen here

Like previous versions allows connection to MySQL and SQL Server Express Edition. But not with Access since the JRE 8 not already comes with the JDBC-ODBC bridge driver.

The main changes from the previous version are:

• it has added the ability to view database metadata;
• it has improved the message window regarding the DDL sentences;
• I'm working also to add the possibility to watch the metadata of different objects;
• some general optimizations have been made considering the changes to the internal architecture of the software;
• It has been developed with Netbeans 8, and a version for the Oracle's JDK 8, for the moment; why not work if you do not have the JRE 8;
• it has been developed using Linux Mint 17 as base operative system; when the previous versions were developed with Windows. As previous versions, the software will run with any operative system because was developed with Java;
• This version goes with two languages: Spanish and English.
• I'm working on a basic tutorial for now, mostly because the new Metadata section.

The BrowserSQL Versión 3.1 can be download for free. With this version is possible to connect to Access, MySQL and SQLServer 2005 / 2008 for express editions with pure Java drivers.

The version 3.2 is not a free distributable version. This version permits connect to any DBMS and also was developed considering the use of pure JDBC drivers. Only is need you have the proper driver. It was designed to allow a direct connection with Oracle and DB2 UDB (IBM) Database Systems.

But also permits connections with other DBMS, for example, DBF database systems.
